"Life doesn't always give you a right triangle."

"Life doesn't always give you a right triangle."

This extremely intelligent quote was said by one of my favorite teachers. Usually I would make fun of him for saying something so dorky, but I actually really like it.

For those of you who are hopeless at math, like myself, this is a triangle:

Triangles have three sides.
They have degrees inside them. Kind of like organs.
Am I going too fast?

Anyway, my class was complaining about having to learn something or another (The Law of Sines) and the usual blah blah blah about not using math in our lives and why does math refuse to compromise and be easy-ness.

Exasperated, he told us we would not always get right triangles. Life is hard sometimes, I think.

Don't listen to me - I'm only 16. I haven't really lived that much yet. Go talk to somebody 100 years old or at least 30 (because once you're 30 you are ANCIENT). I just liked it and felt the need to share this quote. And even if you don't get a 'right triangle' today, there's always the next day.

Enough of my psycho babble for one night. Today was Thursday. I'm about to fall asleep at my computer so this is what my day looked like, in a nut shell (is that one word or two?):

I like to think I'm a cowgirl on occasions.

For my short stories class, we had to watch a person for 10 minutes and then paint a picture of them with words. We had to describe them - appearance, idiosyncrasies, and history - so a reader could vividly see and relate to the character.

I got to practice my stalking skills on my new German friend. She's hilariously awesome, and didn't even notice we watching her (quite creepily, I must add) during Homeroom.

Poor girl.
Getting stalked while innocently doing her Algebra homework.

If it's any consolation, I made her a sign for her locker. But I was kind of teasing her - she hates the nickname Char-Char.

Welcome to America.

School was soon over and I headed to work with the kids at the after-school program.

This leaf, made by one of the funniest 5th graders I have ever meant, made me burst into giggles for a long while:
 (It says I LIKE CHICKEN)
It makes me almost want to have children some day. :)

Instead of being productive, I had an impromptu art show with the kids. I was impressed by some of them, while other just interested me in their creative . . . 'abilities'.

The bones and meteor are a great touch, eh?

Apparently, this is a portrait of me done by a 5 (almost 6, mind you - she is very adamant about that) and it made me happy.

I'm a little concerned I have only one eye, though.

This is the art piece I worked on:
(it evolves)

Three hours.
YOLO?
(That saying is ridiculous, by the way, but my teenage nature demands my saying of it).

After work, I went to get ice cream with my friend, Annie. Her boyfriend showed up from Limestone, and they are hilarious.
'Nuff said.

Would you want some ice cream with your cookie dough?

I was overwhelmed by sugary delight.

I had play practice after that.

I came home my sister and the following events:

She is definitely related to me.
